I have a passion for acting, for guiding actors, and for helping actors get to their next best level.
My current focus is on AUDITIONING. I would love to know how I can help you
- assess your strengths
- learn how to audition for a specific play vs. a theatre season
- have fun with cold readings
- discover how to have no-limit thinking when it comes to auditioning
- learn where NOT to find monologues
- craft a truly dynamic monologue
- effectively boost your stage presence,
- etc.!
I Love This Stuff.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
I often find myself walking into auditions totally prepared with my monologue broken into beats, with a real connection to the character, and with a general confidence. But then, as I begin the monologue in front of the auditor, I find myself not as immersed in the monologue as I was while practicing at home, most likely due to my subconscious need to see what the auditor is thinking. So, in short, my main problem is, staying "in the moment" (to be totally cliche) while auditioning.

For my engineering project, I have to make a working hip joint. But I dont know what to make the hip and femur bone out of? My group was thinking about wood, but it would be too much sand papering to shape it.
So what material is easily crafted but can stay in that form without being too fragile? Thank you. =]
the low fire ceramic is a good idea. If you are a student and your campus has a ceramic department go to them and ask for help. Tell them that you would like to hand build it out of a low fire clay that will dry without cracking, with a lot of fire clay in the recipe and that you want to add some fiber too it. The fire clay will give you strength in drying, decrease shrinkage and make it durable to being built by someone who doesn’t know what they are doing. The fiber will also lower the risk of cracking when drying and will lighten the object up because it will burn off when fired. You will have to ask the ceramics department to help you fire it. It only needs to be bisque fired. good luck.

I have a three yr old kid at my work whos mom jus had major surgery. He is a big mommy;s boy, so I thought I would look for some ideas of things to make for her.
Walmart has a "craft" aisle with lots of projects appropriate for a 3 year old. One of my favorites is the picture frame. They can decorate it with foam stickers and then you can put a fun picture of the kid in it for the hospital room.
To get original artwork out of a kid I give them something fun to glue on paper, it gets their creativity going. (macaroni, feathers, sequins, foam beads, confetti, moss, leaves, hole punches, candy wrappers, anything will work then add to it with crayons or markers.)

This show is held in early December, and is heavily attended. There is a place for kids to set up booths and sell their wares. I’m trying to help my daughter think of things that would be good sellers with a decent profit margin. Help me brainstorm!
So far we’ve come up with:
- bookmarks made with marbled cardstock (she’ll do the marbling)
- Christmas greeting cards
- dishsoap dispensers like Martha Stewart showed the other day, made of small wine bottles and a liquor spout (if you think this is a good idea, do you know where to buy those small fancy bottles that wouldn’t cost that much?)
- homemade paper (doubting she has the time or energy to do much of this)
Even if you can’t think of anything, I’d love if you would take the time to comment on the ideas we already have, including what you think would and wouldn’t sell to a "country style" crowd just before Christmas, and what you would think the items could be priced.
Thanks a lot for your help!
You have some great ideas there already. One idea I did with my daughter for a Christmas craft fair was. We had a spin art machine and my daughter did the spin art on Cards and put envelopes with them and they sold like crazy, more than my stuff and she had a lot of fun making them and getting money for them. You can sell them single or grouped together with a tied ribbon.

I want to add some decor to my otherwise plain home. but i need to do it cheaply. any website where i can find good ideas? i have an ‘arts and crafts’ style home and would maybe like to reflect that in the interior. otherwise, i am in my early 30′s, so don’t send me to sites that my grandma or mom would like! lol.
HGTV website; watch the programming on that channel, too. Lots of great ideas and terrific programs.
