Any parents know of any good Holiday arts and craft ideas for the whole family?
I’ve been looking for magazines and books but none offer what im looking for. My son is 8 and not really into the baby-ish stuff… he loves to bake tho. any suggestions?!?!
What’s really cool is making rice crispy treat ghosts. Make normal rice crispy treats then shape them into ghosts. Cover the bottoms with icing, make icing eyes, and make pupils with a black sprinkle on each eye. Ta-Da!

Try searching online for family holiday crafts; you’ll get a lot of hits and might find what you want. Also try Martha Stewart’s site… she always has lots of craft projects. Happy crafting!

Start making wrapping paper for christmas presents! My kids love to decorate and stick and paste all sorts of things on!!! And it saves money! Warpping paper costs more tan the presents these days!!!
Biscuits as christmas presents are also great! Wrap them up nicely and there you go!
Also starting your own little garden in a big pot is great fun and educational!
Try out the site below!

I like the wrapping paper idea. I am into rubber stamping and with one or two stamps and ink pads he could decorate all you Christmas paper.
Christmas cookies and gingerbread house. Target has one out for Halloween right now.
If you are having guests over for dinner, my daughter made place tags for the dinner table for everyone. Try using cardstock/stickers/rubber stamps and markers.
If he has good eye/hand coordination. I did this with my daughter. Buy clear round ornaments at a craft store. Open the end up. And we poured a bit of paint- 3 colors into them. then you just rotate the ball around letting the colors swirl together. We turned the upside down and put them into a paper bathroom cup (like a dixie cup) to drain out the excess paint. they dried overnight. and the results were beautiful.

Try Wonder Time of Family Fun magazines, they are lifesavers!
From Wonder Times, an issue I had from 2007, we just made a fireworks tee-shirt, using only a plain white tee, Sharpie markers, rubber bands, small drinking glasses, and rubbing alcohol.
So, basically, things you already own.

Their website is great, too.
