Arts and crafts ideas for 4-9 years olds….?
I’m a student and I’ve just taken a part time job doing arts and crafts with kids aged 4-9 at an after school club only i’m stuck for fun ideas! I’m finding it hard to remember what I even used to enjoy now I’m at university level and primary school seems so long ago! :-/
How about felting? It’s very easy and great fun to do!

Hello Friend,
Try making the Eiffel Tower model. Use cardboard, aluminium foil, a pointed hat.
Your model should be about 30 cm – 35 cm.
I bet you will get a good prize.

It depends on your budget and the level of interest the kids have.
Here are some sites that I reference for my own children and for the 1st grade Sunday school class I assist with.
My favorite: http://familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts/crafts-by-age/

Also remember, it’s what you do with the crafts. Example, make a puppet show! One day you can make puppets, the next make the puppet theater and voila! fun!

Children love to take something home to show their parent(s) – so why not get them making handmade cards.
They would love all the sticking and embellishments such as buttons or glitter.
If the club has funds then I would suggest buying a Cuttlekids machine which they would be able to use to make their own die-cut shapes from paper or Crafter’s foam.
