ACTORS: What is your SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION about how to AUDITION effectively?

I have a passion for acting, for guiding actors, and for helping actors get to their next best level.

My current focus is on AUDITIONING. I would love to know how I can help you
- assess your strengths
- learn how to audition for a specific play vs. a theatre season
- have fun with cold readings
- discover how to have no-limit thinking when it comes to auditioning
- learn where NOT to find monologues
- craft a truly dynamic monologue
- effectively boost your stage presence,
- etc.!

I Love This Stuff.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I often find myself walking into auditions totally prepared with my monologue broken into beats, with a real connection to the character, and with a general confidence. But then, as I begin the monologue in front of the auditor, I find myself not as immersed in the monologue as I was while practicing at home, most likely due to my subconscious need to see what the auditor is thinking. So, in short, my main problem is, staying "in the moment" (to be totally cliche) while auditioning.

I’m always super nervous at the audition, and that reflects poorly on my reading and song. i’m really talented, i just need nerves of steel.

One of the questions I hear- "Do you look at the auditors when you are perfoming your monologue?"

I’m only 12 (almost 13) but I have been in a plays and taken acting classes and I think the toughest thing for me is cold readings fromt he script at auditions. I’m fine when I have time to read the script and get the "vibe” and the emotions of the characters but at auditions I have trouble focusing because I get nervous.
