Scrapbooking Crafts-Make this Personalized Book Marker Using Easy to Find Wrapping or Scrapbooking Paper

Are you or someone you know an avid reader?  Try making a personalized custom book marker so you’ll never lose your place.  You can make several of these in no time at all using cardboard and antiqued looking wrapping paper.  What a quick way to create art with decorative scrap paper and your own personalized 3-D foam letter, as you’ll find out by reading below.

Begin by selecting a scrap piece of wrapping paper that resembles time gone by.  If you don’t have any left over wrapping paper, you can find some very inexpensive paper at your local craft store.  For this project an antiqued looking sports theme was used in a flat finish. (tan, brown, black and olive)  Using scissors cut the wrapping paper in to two 8”H x 2”W strips. Next, cut one piece of thin scrap cardboard in to an 8”H x 2”W piece to match in size the two strips of paper you’ve already cut and set aside. Spray Artist Adhesive to one side of the cardboard and apply one of the wrapped paper strips to it, smooth out any wrinkles and allow time to dry, approx. 5 minutes. Next, flip the quickly to be finished custom book marker over and repeat the same process on the other side.  Now, to add the personalizing touch to your project, add a 3-d foam letter sticker for scrapbooking to the front side of your marker. For this project we used a cream colored S letter, 1.5” x 1.5”.

That’s all there is to it.  A nice simple craft, and a special and personalized custom book marker. A great classroom craft for teachers, or just the rest of us everyday home crafters.

Supplies:

Decorative scrap wrapping paper (Flat finish) Ruler Scissors Artist Spray Adhesive 3-d Foam letter sticker for scrapbooking (One letter, size 1.5” x 1.5”)

Ski Seat Kit – Carpentry Made Easy !

You’ve found a new hobby and you want to get started – but step one is to make sure you have clear and accurate ski seat kits. What a sense of accomplishment you can get when you decide to build your own wood-based projects – on your own and with your own hands. Do yourself a big favor and invest a few moments into scanning the next few paragraphs.

It’s fun to dream up projects and then make them, and no doubt you’ll come up with dozens of projects – what better way to pass the hours than getting into a fun and maybe even lucrative craft? Ever been to a master’s workshop? seeing the finished product, you likely said to yourself, “what fun it would be to actually create that” – there’s nothing stopping you. In case you are likely thinking about how to get your project onto your work bench – i can help you. Fortunately, quality blueprints and direction are available through a great new website – it provides excellent, reliable support to beginning and more experienced woodworkers. There is a particular blend of knowledge required to be a respected woodworker and to provide guidance to the layman – seems like these people have it all.

Human beings have created wood crafts for eons – as a fun and inspiring exercise, look around your own house and be inspired by the excellent craftsmanship. You’ll quickly find yourself with competence in something that is brand new to you, and you’ll no doubt be awaiting the opportunity to reveal what you’ve learned about this craft, and the outcome. You’ve probably seen tv shows about wood crafts, which may offer some intriguing projects, although sadly they don’t teach you much.

I’ve introduced you to a few reasons to use ready-made ski seat kits, it would now be advisable to simply browse through some of what the professionals can teach you. The experts will show you the techniques needed for this craft and what to do every step of the way – it’s like taking a private woodworking course from a master. I hope you understand that by using such carefully thought-out plans you can create whatever you want, from simple toys and furniture to a front porch swing. It’s satisfying to make something from scratch rather than just going shopping, and you obviously care about craftsmanship; there will be challenges along the way, but it will be done right. There is so much to say about this fun hobby, but i imagine this advice is enough for you to realize some of its many benefits.
